The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited to provide escort and stand in silent Honor and Respect for PFC Alva Clifford Groves, U.S. Army, repatriated Korean War POW, as he is returned to American soil for services and final rest. PFC Groves went home to be with the Lord during his captivity and is being returned home to receive the Honor he so richly deserves.
PFC Groves will be returning to Pittsburgh International Airport on Tuesday, 05 August, then escorted to Perine Funeral Home, 1348 S. Pike St., Shinnston, WV (http://tinyurl.com/n5v5424).
Funeral services will be at the Jewel City Church, 305 Rt 20 Haywood Rd., Shinnston, WV (http://tinyurl.com/llbjef5) beginning at 1100 on Thursday, 07 August.
At the conclusion of services, escort will be provided to the West Virginia National Cemetery in Pruntytown, WV (http://tinyurl.com/kdwq5gz), a distance of approximately 20 miles. If flying flags on your bike/vehicle, please ensure they are securely mounted.
