The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited to stand in silent Honor and Respect for Howard F. Kelley, U.S. Navy, WWII Veteran during his final services on Wednesday, 03 Sep 2014.  Howard went to be with the Lord on 25 Aug.

Services will be held at Dering-Henson Funeral Home, 156 Foundry St., Morgantown, WV beginning at 1100.

WV District 4 RC John Brown (kz800c@yahoo.com) is the designated RCIC of this most honorable mission.

Staging will be at the McDonalds located at the Westover exit, #152, of I-79.

Staging time – 0930.

Mission brief/KSU at 0945.

Flag line will be established NLT 1000 and maintained until start of services.

At conclusion of services, escort will be provided to the West Virginia National Cemetery, Pruntytown, WV.  Flag line will be re-established and maintained until conclusion of services.

Early weather forecast is for temperatures in the mid-80’s with a 60% chance of sunshine.  Please dress and travel accordingly.

It is with heavy heart that I am inviting the Patriot Guard Riders to stand in silent Honor and Respect for my Father, my Hero, CPL Paul R. “Russ” Cumblidge, U.S. Army WWII Veteran. Dad went to be in the Lord’s Army and reunited with my Mother early in the morning of 12 Aug 14.

Dad was an Anti-Tank Gun Crewman with Hqs Co., 2nd Bn, 167th Inf Regt, 31st Div serving in New Guinea and on the Phillipine Islands during the war in the South Pacific.

Visitation will be at the Myers Funeral Home, 600 Main St., Sistersville, WV (http://tinyurl.com/ngu3n56) on Friday, 15 August, from 1600-2000.  PGR will NOT participate in the visitation.

Funeral services will held at the First Baptist Church, 506 Wells St., Sistersville, WV (http://tinyurl.com/l6legk8) on Saturday, 16 August, beginning at 1300.

Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Old State Route 18, Sistersville, WV (http://tinyurl.com/l456uqe).  Escort to cemetery will be provided at which time a flag line will be set and maintained until the conclusion of graveside services.

Bob is the Uncle of West Virginia RC Shirley Martin.

PFC Alva Clifford Groves, U.S. Army, Korean War POW – Pittsburgh, PA/Shinnston, WV – 05, 07 Aug 2014

The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited to provide escort and stand in silent Honor and Respect for PFC Alva Clifford Groves, U.S. Army, repatriated Korean War POW, as he is returned to American soil for services and final rest. PFC Groves went home to be with the Lord during his captivity and is being returned home to receive the Honor he so richly deserves.

PFC Groves will be returning to Pittsburgh International Airport on Tuesday, 05 August, then escorted to Perine Funeral Home, 1348 S. Pike St., Shinnston, WV (http://tinyurl.com/n5v5424).

Funeral services will be at the Jewel City Church, 305 Rt 20 Haywood Rd., Shinnston, WV (http://tinyurl.com/llbjef5) beginning at 1100 on Thursday, 07 August.

The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited to stand in silent Honor and Respect for Corporal Bruce Edward Oiler, United States Marine Corp, as he takes his final journey on Monday, 14 July. Bruce received several Honors which included the Combat Action Ribbon and a Purple Heart. Bruce also loved to ride his motorcycle.
