Henry Jourdan Finerfrock, age 97, U S Navy WWII Veteran, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, 22. March 2023.
Henry served with the United States Navy during World War II. He was a Signalman 3/c on the USS Bataan in the Pacific Theater from 1943 to 1946.
Henry enjoyed hiking and backpacking. Twice, Henry climbed to the top of Mount Katahdin, the northern point of the Appalachian Trail in Maine in the 1950’s. He was a member of the Susquehanna Appalachian Trail Club, the Keystone Trails Association, and the Pennsylvania Forestry Association in the Harrisburg, PA area. Henry served on the Executive Board of the Appalachian Trail Conference in Harpers Ferry, WV from 1977 to 1979.
