On December 16, 2023, the West Virginia Patriot Guard participated in 2 different locations. The first was at the WV National Cemetery in Pruntytown. There were 6 members gathered at the cemetery for a flag line. After the ceremony, members helped to place wreaths on the graves. This location was able to get enough wreaths to cover over 6200 graves.  The second part of the day was over at the Grafton National Cemetery, where many unknown Civil War soldiers are buried. 4 Members were there to stand a flag line and help place wreaths after the ceremony. There were over 2100 wreaths placed at this location. 1 Member was there with food, drinks and chips for anyone who needed some much needed energy. We can’t thank him enough.

Our second location was at the Donel C. Kinnard State Veterans Cemetery, in Dunbar. They had 6 Patriot Guard Riders in attendace who stood a flag line and participated in laying of the wreaths aferwords.

So proud of our members and glad everyone had a great turn out and wonderful weather!
