The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited to stand a flag line for the Veterans Recognition Program on Friday, 21 Nov 14, beginning at 0900 at Buckhannon-Upshur Middle School, 28 Tennerton Dr., Buckhannon, WV (https://tinyurl.com/o455xjy).
One of the main goals of this event is to show the nearly 900 students in attendance that you do not have to be in the military in order to, in their words “Do Something”. Everyday citizens can play an important role as well, thus the request for PGR attendance.
WV District 7 RC Don Garton (firstname.lastname@example.org) is the designated RCIC of this most “happy” mission.
Staging will be at Sheetz at the intersection of Routes 20 & 33 in Buckhannon, WV.
Staging time: 0800
Briefing: 0815. Additional information will be given at the briefing.
Current long range forecast is for overnight lows around 31 with 0% chance of precipitation. Friday’s high is expected to be 43 with a 60% chance of rain/snow. PLEASE, as there is no escort for this mission, I’m requesting that anyone outside the immediate Buckhannon area travel via cage instead of bikes. As this is an early staging time, be extra cognizant of black ice.
It is anticipated that the flag line will be set inside the gymnasium so please dress accordingly.
Once again, we have the opportunity to show the young people of our great state and nation what it means to be a Veteran and the sacrifices they all have made for our freedom and liberty. If there’s any possible way you can attend this most happy mission, we look forward to seeing you.
