The Patriot Guard Riders have been requested to stand in silent Honor and Respect for Cpl James Murray, U.S. Army, Korean War KIA/MIA, as he is returned home and laid to rest in his native Shinnston. Cpl Murray made the ultimate sacrifice in N. Korea in 1951 and his remains were recently identified.
He will be laid to rest in the Masonic Cemetery, Shinnston, WV at 1300 on 20 Aug 11, with full military honors.
Our participation shall consist of establishing a flag line at the cemetery entrance as he is moved from the funeral home, then re-establishing the line during the graveside services.
Staging will be at 1200 at the McDonald’s, 1139 S. Pike St., Shinnston, WV (https://tinyurl.com/42ba8rf). Cemetery is located directly across the street.
