The Patriot Guard has been asked to stand in honor for theWounded Warrior Project.Jamie Summerlin is a 39-year-old former Marine from West Virginia.
On March 26, 2012, he started a 100-day cross country run as a fundraiser to support my fellow military members through the Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) and other Veteran’s organizations. It’s going to take 30-40 miles a day to complete the run, starting in Coos County, Oregon, where my wife is from, and finishing on July 4, 2012 in Annapolis MD, a total of just over 3300 miles.He is stopping by the MOUNTAINEER MILITARY MUSEUM,in Weston, WV Friday, June 22 for a meet and greet between 4:30 p.m.-5:30 p.m., when a flagline will be set to honor this young man’s endeavor, before he moves on towards his home of Morgantown,WV.Dave Rowan will be RC for this event. Staging will be at theMountaineer Military Museum 345 Center Avenue
