Hammond, 26, USAF (AD) of Moundsville, WV died 2 Oct 15, in the crash of a C-130J Super Hercules aircraft at Jalalabad Airfield, Afghanistan. The cause of the accident remains under investigation. SSgt Hammond proudly served his nation as a Loadmaster assigned to the 39th Airlift Squadron, Dyess AFB, Texas.
