ABOUT THE MISSION:

The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited to participate in the final services and interment of SSGT William Edward “Billy” Friese, 30, West Virginia Army National Guard on Friday, 02 Aug 19. SSGT Friese went to be with the Lord on 17 Jul 19 while stationed at Camp Buehring, Kuwait. He was deployed there as part of Operation Inherent Resolve.

Billy, a light-wheeled vehicle mechanic in the West Virginia Army National Guard, was assigned to the 821st Engineer Company, 1092nd Engineer Battalion, 111th Engineer Brigade, based in Summersville, W.Va. He had enlisted in 2008 and deployed to Afghanistan for a year in 2010 with the 1092nd Engineer Battalion.

Friese’s medals and decorations include the Afghanistan Campaign Medal, the NATO Afghanistan Service Medal, the Army Achievement Medal and the Army Good Conduct Medal.

Staging area 1 will be at the church at 9:30 AM.

Flag line will be set as soon as you arrive in preparation for the arrival of SSGT Friese and his family. It will be maintained until the start of services.

This staging location is for a pre-arranged group of riders.

KSU at 9:30 as you provide escort to the church.

Upon conclusion of the services, flag line will be set for Billy’s dignified transfer to the hearse for his final journey to Sunset Memory Gardens Cemetery, 1934 Dupont Rd., Parkersburg, WV.

Upon arrival at the cemetery, flag line will be set and maintained for the duration of graveside services.
