ABOUT THE MISSION:

The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited to stand in silent Honor and Respect for SP6 Theodore Leroy “Ted” O’Connell, U.S. Army, Vietnam Veteran, for his final services and interment on Friday, 05 Jan 18. Ted went to be in the Lord’s army on Monday, 01 Jan 18.

Ted was an honored 20-year veteran of the United States Army who served as a clinical specialist during Vietnam.

He is the Father of WV PGR member Connie Everett.

Services will be held at the Pat Boyle Funeral Home, 144 Hackers Creek Rd., Jane Lew, WV on Friday, 05 Jan, beginning at 1000. Interment to follow in the WV National Cemetery in Pruntytown, WV.

Ride Captain:

Wayne Turner (304-472-4365) is the designated Ride Captain in Charge of this most Honorable mission.

Special Instructions:

Mission brief at 0845.

Flag line will be in place NLT 0900 and maintained until the start of services.

At the conclusion of services, flag line will be set for his dignified transfer to the hearse for his final journey. Escort will be provided to the cemetery.

Early weather is for overnight lows of -01 on Thursday with Friday’s high of 12. PLEASE dress and travel according to current conditions being ever mindful of the possibility of black ice.

Due to the extreme cold temperatures, two wheels are NOT recommended for this mission. Your safety is our first priority.
