The family of USAF Veteran, Henry L. Thaxton, has requested the Patriot Guard Riders stand in honor of Henry at his final service. He had battled Parkinson’s disease for several years, but now is enjoying the splendors of heaven. Henry was well-known in community, religious, and government circles in WV, and had many friends…there never was anyone like him before, and probably never will be again. He was a truly unique individual who never ceased to speak his mind; you always knew where you stood with Henry Thaxton.
This mission will consist of a flag line for the combination visitation/funeral service, and we will be escorting to the family cemetery, as well. The escort will be less than 1 mile in length, and if your bike/cage is capable of flying flags, please come prepared to do so. Remember your 3×5 flags, dress for the weather, and please ride/drive safely. The current weather for Saturday calls for mostly sunny skies, with a high in the upper 60s.

On a personal note, Henry Thaxton has been like a second dad to me for many years. He will be missed, but I am very thankful he is now free from all pain and physical suffering.
