Delmar L. Parrish, 93, US Army Veteran, WWII, Ripley, WV, 5/6 Feb

We have received a very short notice request to stand in honor of Delmar L. Parrish, a highly decorated WWII veteran who served in the Pacific theatre with the 96th Infantry. Delmar received the Bronze Star, Purple Heart, and other campaign medals during his time in the Army. Several years ago, we had the honor of attending a bridge dedication for Delmar Parrish; we now have one more opportunity to stand for this hero.

This will be a two-part mission: a flag line of honor during the visitation, Tuesday evening 5 Feb, then a mission of honor for his final services on Wednesday, 6 Feb. Staging for both missions will be at the Waybright Funeral Home in Ripley, WV. We will be providing escort  on Wednesday. If you can make it to either one of these missions for Delmar, the family would be most appreciative. He is the father-in-law of WVPGR member Bill Stevens.
