ABOUT THE MISSION:

The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited to stand in silent Honor and Respect for CPL (T5) Edwin Runner, U.S. Army WWII Veteran, for his final service and interment on Friday, 21 Feb 20. Edwin went to be with the Lord on 17 Feb 20.

CPL Runner served his Country honorably in the Pacific theater as a member of Co B 304th SIG OPN BN throughout the war, first on the island Leyte in the eastern Philippines and was part of the occupying force landing on Japan when the war ended. He left the Army as corporal (T5C) turning down a commission to Second Lieutenant to return to school.

Special Instructions:

Staging at the funeral home at 10:30 AM.

Please arrive as quietly as possible so as not to interfere with visitation.

Mission brief at 10:45 AM.

Flag line will be in place NLT 11:00 AM and maintained until the start of services.

At the conclusion of services, our flag line will be set for his dignified transfer to the hearse for his final journey.

Escort will be provided to the WV National Cemetery in Pruntytown, a distance of approximately 27 miles.

Upon arrival at the committal shelter, our flag line will be set and maintained for the duration of services.

Forecast for Friday is for sunny skies with temperatures in the mid-30’s. Please dress and travel accordingly.
