The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited to stand in silent Honor and Respect for Aaron Clark Shaffer, 30, USMC GWOT Veteran for his services and internment on Monday, 19 Oct 15.

Aaron went to be with the Lord on 15 Oct 15 from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.

Aaron was an Eagle Scout, a seven year combat Marine Corps Veteran. He was a fearless defender of our freedom and selflessly served his country during two combat deployments.

Services will be held at the Hafer Funeral Home, 50 N. Pinch Rd., Elkview, WV (https://tinyurl.com/qxydevk) at 1100.

West Virginia Ride Captain Jim Shaffer (shaffer13e20@frontier.com) is the designated Ride Captain in Charge of this most honorable mission.

Staging will be at the funeral home at 0930.

Mission brief: 0945.

Flag line will be in place prior to 1000 and maintained until the start of services.

At the conclusion of services, flag line will be reset for Aaron’s dignified transfer to the hearse for his final journey.

Escort will be provided from the funeral home to the Donel C. Kinnard State Veterans Cemetery.

Upon arrival at the cemetery, our flag line will be set, again, and maintained during graveside services.

Weather forecast is for sunny skies, 0% chance of rain with temperatures in the mid-60’s.  Please dress and travel accordingly.

Understanding this is a work week, if at all possible, please put forth the effort to stand for one of our own who willingly gave of himself for YOUR freedom and liberty.
