The family of Johnny A Brotherton has requested the Patriot Guard Riders presence at the memorial service for their fallen hero. Johnny was a 20-year veteran of the Charleston Fire Department (retired Captain), and according to his wife, Jill, he was a great first-responder. He was working for the State Fire Marshal’s office when he passed away suddenly on June 17th …he was only 57 years of age. There will not be an escort for this mission of honor; we will be standing up a flag line one hour prior to the start of the service, and the mission will terminate when the memorial service begins. The funeral home has a large overhang at the entrance, so even if it rains, we will be out of the weather. Ride Captain assignment has not been made at this time, but the staging information below is firm.

Staging date/time: 21 June / 1730-1750

Mission brief: 1750 with the flag line in place NLT 1800

Service: 1900 (mission terminates at this time)

Location: Long and Fisher Funeral Home, 6837 Sissonville Drive Charleston, WV https://tinyurl.com/3wt55lv

Make your own determination as to how you arrive (bike or cage), but please be safe. Again, this is a flag line ONLY mission.

Please take a moment to post a few words of condolence on the mission thread at: https://www.patriotguard.org/ALLForums/tabid/61/forumid/11/tpage/1/view/topic/postid/1589624/Default.aspx#1589895
