The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited to stand in silent Honor and Respect for Bruce Lynn Bennett, US Army, Vietnam Veteran who went to be with the Lord on 31 Aug 14.  Bruce served two tours in Vietnam as a member of the 198th Light Infantry Brigade.

Services will be held at the Amos-Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison St., Nutter Fort, WV (https://tinyurl.com/opqkxd6) beginning at 1100 on Thursday, 04 Sep 2014.

WV RC Buddy Myers (myersbuddy@hotmail.com) is the RCIC, assisted by WV RC Don Garton (99256@aol.com).

Staging will be at the Exxon located at the Quiet Dell/Nutter Fort exit of I-79.  Traveling from the North, turn left at the exit and from the South, turn right.

Staging time: 0930

Briefing/KSU: 0945 for the short trip to the funeral home.

Flag line will be in place NLT 1000 and maintained until start of services.  At the conclusion of services, flag line will be reset as Bruce is transferred to the hearse for his final journey.

Escort will be provided to the Rose Hill Cemetery, 580 W. Main St., West Milford, WV (https://tinyurl.com/p87fn3p), a distance of approximately 10 miles.

Flag line will be re-established and maintained until the conclusion of graveside services.

Weather forecast for Thursday is for temperatures in the upper 80’s with a 10% of showers.  Please ensure you dress and travel accordingly, ensuring you keep yourself well hydrated.

Understanding this is a work day for many, if at all possible, please make a concerted effort to attend as we say “Thank You”, “God Speed” and “Welcome Home” to another of our Vietnam Veterans.
