Confirmed Mission – Maj. Chris Lemaster, WVNG – Spencer, WV 10 July

The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited to stand in silent Honor and Respect for Maj. Chris Lemaster, West Virginia National Guard, for his memorial service on Sunday, 10 July, in Spencer, WV. Chris went to be with Lord on 29 June, leaving behind his wife, Kelly, and young sons, Ethan and Caleb. Maj. Extremely Short Notice – Gary Lockhart, USMC Vietnam Veteran – Elizabeth, WV – 6 July

The family of Gary Lockhart has requested we stand up a flag line of honor for his interment services at the Pine Twist Cemetery near Elizabeth, WV. Gary passed away unexpectedly last Friday from a heart attack, and we just received the invitation from the family this morning. Confirmed – Capt David Van Camp, USA – Elm Grove – TBA/ANC – 1 Aug

Capt David Van Camp, 29, US Army, and two fellow soldiers, made the ultimate sacrifice for our Country as the jeep in which they were riding was struck by a missile in the Sandbox on 29 July. He is survived by his wife, Chelsea, his parents and three brothers. He will be returning to Dover AFB tomorrow, 02 July, and coming in to Wheeling-Ohio County Airport on an, as of yet, unknown date. The Patriot Guard Riders have once again been invited to participate in Boatsie’s Boxes.  This year the event will be held at Cabela’s, 1 Cabela Dr., Triadelphia, WV (https://tinyurl.com/6jkhvkg) from 1000-1400 on 02 July 11. Bridge Dedication – 24 June – UNOFFICIAL

For anyone who might be unable to attend the escort for the Bataan Death March survivors next Friday, 24 June, there will be a bridge dedication service in memory of Lloyd Robinson, an Army Ranger who was KIA in Vietnam in June 1971. Escort WWII Bataan Survivors, Pittsburgh/Wellsburg, WV, 23, 24 JUN 11

The PGR has been invited in escorting WWII Veterans who survived the Bataan Death March.  Approximately 72000 American and Filipino Soldier were forced to march 70 miles through the jungle and routinely denied food and water.  In total some 18000 to 20000 of the POWs died on the Bataan Death March.  Our Brave Veterans will go to the Wellsburg Library which is home to the American Defenders of Batann & Corregor Museum and research Center that includes artifacts, documents and books of this…
