The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited to stand in silent Honor and Respect for CPL Gary W. Weekley, U.S. Army, Vietnam KIA, as a bridge is dedicated in his Honor on Saturday, 23 Jul 16, in Middlebourne, WV.

Gary served our Country with Honor as a member of 1ST PLT, B CO, 3RD BN, 506TH Infantry, 101ST ABN DIV, making the Ultimate Sacrifice on 4 Apr 70 having been “in country” for only six weeks.  The citizens of Tyler County will Honor his service and sacrifice with this dedication.

West Virginia Ride Captains Pat Dawson (ptpup@frontier.com) and Shirley Martin (2013shirleymartin@frontier.com) are the designated Co-Ride Captains in Charge of this most Honorable mission.

Staging will be in the lower parking lot of Tyler County Consolidated High School, 1993 Silver Knight Dr., Sistersville, WV (https://tinyurl.com/hwfevrb).

Staging time: 1230.

Mission brief: 1245, then ride up to the back of the school in preparation for escorting the family to the bridge.

Flag line will be in place at the school NLT 1300.

There will be a short program in the high school auditorium beginning at 1330.  All who wish are invited to attend this service.

At the conclusion, we will provide escort for the family to the bridge, located at the end of Elk Fork Road on West Virginia SR 180.

Early weather forecast is for temperatures in the HIGH 90’s with a 70% chance of sunshine.  PLEASE dress and travel according to conditions, ensuring you keep yourself very well hydrated.

As this is a weekend, won’t you join us as we say “Thank You” and “God Speed” to one of our native sons who made the Ultimate Sacrifice for our freedom and liberties.
