On September 20 & 21, 2014 Beard Mortuary, 3001 3rd Avenue, Huntington, WV, will be hosting a Celebration of Service; Honoring Our Veterans event featuring “The Eyes of Freedom” traveling exhibit, to honor veterans and their families. The exhibit is dedicated to 23 members of the 3rd Battalion, 25th Marine Reserve Regiment who were killed while deployed to Iraq in 2005. The memorial consists of life-size paintings of 23 the fallen members of Lima 3/25, created by Westerville, OH artist Anita
Miller.

The Patriot Guard Riders have been asked to provide escort for this very special exhibit, from Barboursville, WV to the Beard Mortuary in Huntington, WV. In addition to the PGR, we will have an adequate amount of traffic support from law enforcement agencies.

Staging location: Sept. 19th

This mission is an escort-only mission, however, those who would like to help unload the very large paintings from the truck and move them into the mortuary once we arrive, would be welcome to do so.
