The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited to stand in silent Honor and Respect for James Kenny “Jim” Hartman, 76 U S Army Veteran, U.S. Air Force for his final services on Wednesday, 28 July 2021. Jim went to be with the Lord on Friday, 23 July 2021.

Jim was a graduate of Elkins High School with the Class of 1964. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and later joined the 130th Airlift Squadron of the WV Air National Guard in 1977 until his retirement in 2005 with thirty years of service. He worked at the Huttonsville Correctional Center with over twenty-seven years of service. Jim had traveled the world with the National Guard and especially enjoyed the time he spent in Hawaii. He loved to paint, was very creative and could work on almost anything. He played Bass and sang in his own band and had played with many big name country music artists. He taught line dancing and alongside his wife was a DJ and had their own Karaoke Business. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Elkins. Jim never met a stranger and could carry a conversation with anyone. He was country when country wasn’t cool. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather and loved his family.
