The West Virginia Patriot Guard Riders have been asked to participate in this most honorable mission which will take place Saturday, May 10, 2014. Veterans will be flying to Washington, DC to tour the memorials. The flight is scheduled to depart at 7:30 a.m., from the North Central West Virginia Airport, 2000 Aviation Way, Bridgeport, WV. Many of the veterans will most likely start arriving at the airport before 6:00 a.m., according to information received from a Patriot Guard Ride Captain who participated in a similar mission in the southern part of the State. Several Patriot Guard members should plan to arrive at the airport by 5:30 a.m., to assist the early arrivals. Our involvement during the morning segment of this mission will be to assist veterans from their vehicles and escort them to the registration area. The flight is scheduled to return to the North Central West Virginia Airport, 2000 Aviation Way, Bridgeport, WV at 8:30 p.m., at which time we will form a flag line in honor of these veterans as well as provide assistance to these heroes as needed.
