The family of Gary Lockhart has requested we stand up a flag line of honor for his interment services at the Pine Twist Cemetery near Elizabeth, WV. Gary passed away unexpectedly last Friday from a heart attack, and we just received the invitation from the family this morning. Gary was an avid motorcyclist and we anticipate attendance from several different clubs. We will only be standing up a flag line at the cemetery, and need to be in place prior to arrival of the procession; we will not be providing an escort from the funeral home.
Staging location: Finish Line Gas Station at the Mineral Wells exit on I-77 (exit #170). The Finish Line is located beside Wendy’s restaurant.
Staging Time: 1230 with KSU at 1245
I know this is extremely short notice for most members, but if you are available, please come and stand with us as we honor this Marine. Please remember to bring your 3×5 flag, and also bring a bottle of water because it will likely be very warm and humid. Tracy Youmans is the assigned RC for this mission.
