The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited to stand in silent Honor and Respect for Howard A. Linger, Cold War Era Veteran of the West Virginia National Guard, who went to be with the Lord on Sunday, 25 May 14.

 

Howard’s final services will be held on Friday, 30 May, beginning at 1500 at Leavitt’s Funeral Home, 403 7th St.,  Parkersburg, WV (https://www.leavittfuneralhome.com/_mgxroot/page_10749.php#MapParkersburg).

 

Escort and interment will be at the Skidmore Cemetery located approximately 11 miles out U.S. Route 50E (https://www.interment.net/data/us/wv/wood/skidmore/index.htm). Cemetery is somewhat hilly with gravel roads. Going completely in to the gravesite will be decided at the mission brief due to the weather forecast for this area the next few days.

 

 

Carl Spade (ace_gunsmith@hotmail.com) is the designated RCIC of this most honorable mission.

Briefing: 1345

 

Flag line: NLT 1400 and maintained until start of services at 1500. Will be re-established at the conclusion of services as Howard is moved to the hearse for his final journey. Escort WILL be provided to the cemetery.

 

Early weather forecast for Friday is for mostly sunny skies and temperatures in the mid-80’s.  Please dress and travel accordingly, ensuring you keep yourself properly hydrated.
