The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited to stand in silent Honor and Respect for CPL Louis A. Tassey, U.S. Army, WWII Veteran, for his final services on Wednesday, 01 Jun 16, in Weirton, WV.

Louis landed on Omaha Beach and participated in the liberation of Paris and the Ohrdruf concentration camp and the Battle of the Bulge.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1000 Wednesday at St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church, 229 California Ave., Weirton, WV (https://tinyurl.com/haqermf).

West Virginia ASC-North, Ron Jones (ron1ok@comcast.net) is the designated Ride Captain in Charge of this most Honorable mission.

Staging will be at the church at 0815.

Briefing will be at 0830.  At the family’s request, a small group of members (2-4) will proceed to Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main St., Weirton, WV (https://tinyurl.com/he7rvx3) and escort the family to the church sometime around 0930.

Flag line will be in place NLT 0900 by those remaining and maintained until start of services.

At the conclusion of services, flag line will be set as Louis is moved to the hearse for his final journey to St Paul Cemetery Mausoleum.  Escort to cemetery will be provided.

Early weather forecast for Wednesday is for temperatures in the low 90’s with 0% chance of precipitation.  Please  dress and travel accordingly, ensuring you keep yourself well hydrated.

Understanding this is a workday for many, if at all possible, please put forth the effort to come out as we say “Thank You” and “God Speed” to another of America’s Greatest Generation.
