The Patriot Guard Riders have been requested to stand in silent Honor and Respect for Cpl James Murray, U.S. Army, Korean War KIA/MIA, as he is returned home and laid to rest in his native Shinnston. Cpl Murray made the ultimate sacrifice in N. Korea in 1951 and his remains were recently identified. He will be laid to rest in the Masonic Cemetery, Shinnston, WV at 1300 on 20 Aug 11, with full military honors. …
America has lost another member of “The Greatest Generation”. Henry Runyon, Jr., of Huntington, WV, passed away on 13 August 2011, and his family has requested Patriot Guard participation at his funeral service. Henry was a colorful character, and often told stories from his adventures in the US Army during WWII; he will be greatly missed by friends and family. The Patriot Guard Riders have been requested by the family of Special Operations Chief Nicholas “Nick” Null, 31, to stand in silent Honor and Respect as he makes his final journey home and is laid to rest. West Virginia is, once again, in mourning for the passing of Cadet Jacob Bower, 18, from Fairmont. Jacob was a member of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, class of 2015.
