CONFIRMED MISSION: NOTE:  This is a two part mission. The PGR has been requested to provide escort and flag lines for Sgt. Jerome E. Kiger, US Army Air Corps, who was shot down on July 21, 1944 over Germany.  He was listed as MIA since that time.     John Appleton, 62, of Malden, suffered cardiac arrest while fighting a fire in the Sissonville area. He was rushed to the hospital but did not survive. John has been pastor of Kanawha Salines Presbyterian Church (PCA) in Malden, W.V., since 2004.
