With his family at his bedside, Captain Joseph L. Cullinan, 32, West Virginia Army National Guard, passed away on 4 May after a valiant battle with cancer. Joe served in Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2006-07, where he was pilot-in-command of a UH 60 Blackhawk helicopter, accumulating 540 hours of combat flight time. He was awarded the Army Commendation Medal of Valor for participating in the rescue of five U.S. soldiers. As per a conversation with the CAO this morning, the family is requesting the Patriot Guard Riders presence at CPT Cullinan’s Celebration Of Life this Saturday; Joe was also a Harley enthuiast, and the family would love to have as many motorcycles there, as possible. His wife truly appreciates our support…they had only been married for two weeks prior to his passing.
