Capt Joseph Cullinan, WVNG – Wheeling, WV – 14 May

With his family at his bedside, Captain Joseph L. Cullinan, 32, West Virginia Army National Guard, passed away on 4 May after a valiant battle with cancer. Joe served in Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2006-07, where he was pilot-in-command of a UH 60 Blackhawk helicopter, accumulating 540 hours of combat flight time. Capt. Richard D. Clark, USN RET, died 21 Nov 2010 after a courageous struggle with multiple myeloma. Capt. Clark served in Naval Intelligence, Operation Desert Storm and as deputy director of intelligence, Joint Task Force, Southwest Asia.  Upon his retirement in 2000, Capt. Clark served over 42 years.
