This is the 2017 Official Observance of Morgantown’s 6th Gene Vance, Jr. Day and a Tribute to Heroes Wreath Laying Ceremony.
To Honor the legacy of American soldiers who returned home from war in the United States and remember the fallen and supports the wounded. This will include reading of the Gene Vance, Jr. Day Proclamation.
The Patriot Guard has been requested to stand a flag line in honor of Gene Vance and all other Heroes.
Event will be held on May 18th, 2017, in front of the Public Safety Building Plaza, at 300 Spruce Street, Morgantown, WV.
Program will start at 1:30 p.m., Several dignitary speakers and wreath laying. Ceremony will conclude with photos taken at 2:30 p.m. In the event of rain the ceremony will be held in City Council chambers.

Flag line in place from 1:15 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
