Third Annual Regional Gathering of the Guard—June 6-8, 2014
Welcoming ALL Patriot Guard Riders, family and friends!
Cost: $30.00 per Person $50.00 per Couple, Includes Dinner on Saturday, Ride Costs, & Tee Shirt.
Host Hotel: A block of rooms has been secured at the Skyline Resort at Winterplace Ghent, WV (Exit 24, I-77) for $50.00 per night for the weekend of June 6, 7 & 8. Cutoff date to make reservations is May 23, 2014
Anyone wishing to reserve their rooms, please call 304-787-6201 for reservations. If no answer, call 304-787-6210 after 1600 and speak to Alicia. When calling the main number, specify the Patriot Guard Rate. When checking in, DO NOT pay sales tax as we are tax exempt within West Virginia. We will provide them with the necessary forms.
Schedule of Events (attendance is optional):
Friday June 6th 2014:
5PM to 8PM: We will have our Meet and Greet Friday, 6 June, beginning at 1700 at the Hotel. Entertainment will be provided.
Saturday June 7th 2014:
9:00-9:45 AM Registration
9:45 AM Blessing of the Bikes and Safety Briefing
10:00AM-5:30 PM: Ride to Honor our KIA’s, MIA’s and All Veterans that have sacrificed for our freedom. This ride will attempt to bring awareness to what the Patriot Guard is about. Our “Ride for the Fallen” will be through some of the most beautiful scenery in Southern West Virginia. This group ride will be approximately 165 miles with lunch being provided at Summersville Lake. Ride will depart the motel area at 1000.
Ride is open to ALL vehicles. REMEMBER: We are still a helmet state! THIS IS A GROUP RIDE, WE LEAVE TOGETHER AND RETURN TOGETHER.
Upon our return, we will be treated to a buffet dinner by Chef Bill Wolfe beginning around 1800. After dinner you are invited to enjoy the music provided by Taylor Made.
All those attending are asked to bring a small item to be auctioned off. This will give you an opportunity to get rid of those unwanted Christmas gifts that are tucked away in your closet!
Buddy Sams has graciously volunteered to be our Auctioneer again this year. He is not only an Auctioneer but is also quite an entertainer!
***If anyone is able to acquire donations from businesses, it would be a great asset to increase our proceeds from our Auction. If you are unable to bring these with you, please contact me to arrange for pick up.
Ride Winners, Auction and 50/50 Drawing will be announced during the evening.
This event is open to anyone. All that is asked of you is that you remember what the PGR is all about, the being Respect for others and for yourself.

This is not an official Patriot Guard Mission. While this is a gathering of individuals connected with the Patriot Guard Family and friends, attendance should be limited to adults only.
Purpose: Getting together to get to know each other, and to bring awareness to the Public as to who the Patriot Guard is and what we do. This is a happy event where individuals of the Patriot Guard Family and friends will gather for fellowship to get to know each other better, riding together, and have some fun over good food and good music.
Alcohol Consumption by any individual is the sole choice of that individual and not the responsibility of the West Virginia Patriot Guard or other attending affiliate of the Patriot Guard Riders. Again this is not an official Mission or Event sponsored by the Patriot Guard Riders of any State. If any type of injury is sustained during the ride, or negative occurrence takes place due to the over consumption of alcohol, it lies completely with the individual or individuals involved and not with the WV Patriot Guard or any Patriot Guard State attending.
The Patriot Guard Riders are not responsible for any liability or liable action of any individual during this event.
