The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited to participate in the Lapel Pinning and Wreath Laying Ceremony for the on-going Commemoration of the 50th Anniversary of the Vietnam War.  Lapel pins to recognize all men and women who served on active duty in the U.S. Armed Forces during the U.S. involvement in Vietnam—November 1, 1955, to May 15, 1975 will be distributed.    Nine million Americans, approximately 7.2 million living today, served during that period, and the commemoration makes no distinction between Veterans who served in-country, in-theater, or were stationed elsewhere during those 20 years.

NAME:  Lapel Pinning and Wreath Laying Ceremony of the 50th Anniversary of the Vietnam War

DATE:  29 March 2016

LOCATION AND TIMES:  2:00 P.M.—GRAFTON NATIONAL CEMETERY: Staging will be at the entrance of the cemetery NLT 1:45 P.M. Following a very short briefing, we will establish a flag line for the ceremony to include pinning of Vietnam Veterans and Wreath Laying. At the conclusion of the ceremony, we will relocate to the Pruntytown National Cemetery.

3:00 P.M.—PRUNTYTOWN NATIONAL CEMETERY: Staging will be at the entrance of the cemetery NLT 2:40 P.M. Following a very short briefing, we will ride to the ceremony location at the top of the hill and establish a flag line for the ceremony to include pinning of Vietnam Veterans and Wreath Laying.

PLEASE NOTE THE STAGING NLT TIMES. Late arrivals will be disruptive to the ceremonies. These will be short ceremonies and pinning at each cemetery to include a speech by Director Barnes at the Pruntytown Cemetery.

As the weather is getting better, cages and/or bikes acceptable. Remember your flag. If you are not otherwise occupied on that day, why not come out and assist us at one or both cemeteries. Shows their appreciation to all of the families who have a loved one who made the Ultimate Sacrifice while helping ensure YOU can continue to enjoy your freedom and liberty today.
