Willis Eugene Custer, U.S. Army Veteran – Martinsburg, WV – 31 July 2014

The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited to stand in silent Honor and Respect for Willis Eugene Custer, U.S. Army Veteran during his final services on Thursday, 31 July 2014.  Willis went to be with the Lord on 25 July.

Services will be held at the Brown Funeral Home, 327 W. King St., Martinsburg, WV (http://tinyurl.com/na3hdzm) beginning at 1100.  Family will receive visitors for one hour prior to start of services.

 Interment will follow in Rosedale Cemetery, 917 County Route 45/6, Martinsburg, WV (http://tinyurl.com/o75oq4g).  Escort to the cemetery will be provided.

 WV Ride Captain Steve Chapman (schapman@security-advisers.com) is the RCIC of this most honorable mission.

 Staging will be at the funeral home at 0930.

 Mission brief at 0945 with flag line in place NLT 1000 and maintained until start of services.

 Early weather forecast for Thursday is for temperatures in the low 80’s and a zero percent of precipitation.  Please dress accordingly, ensuring you stay well hydrated.

 Understanding this is a work day, along with conflicting with other missions in the area, if at all possible please make a concerted effort to attend and say “Thank You” and “God Speed” to Willis for his service to YOUR Country.

The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited to stand in silent Honor and Respect for Brownlee Armstrong, US Army, WWII Veteran as he takes his final journey on Monday, 21 Jul 14.

Services will be held in the Rawlings United Methodist Church, Route 220S, McCoole, MD (http://tinyurl.com/ptteznx) beginning at 1100.  Visitation will also be at the church beginning at 1000.

Interment will follow in Rocky Gap Veteran’s Cemetery, 14205 Pleasant Valley Rd NE, Flintstone, MD (http://tinyurl.com/o2cnvjr), a distance of approximately 21 miles.  Escort WILL be provided.

The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited to stand in silent Honor and Respect for Corporal Bruce Edward Oiler, United States Marine Corp, as he takes his final journey on Monday, 14 July. Bruce received several Honors which included the Combat Action Ribbon and a Purple Heart. Bruce also loved to ride his motorcycle.

Funeral services will be held at the James Funeral Home, 1245 Main Street Follansbee, WV (http://mapq.st/1jzPwVk). Visitation starts at 4:00 PM with Services and Full Military Honors at 8:00 PM.   This mission does not have an escort.  We will be holding our flag line for the visitation and during part of the service.

CONFIRMED – Howard A. Linger, WVNG Veteran – Parkersburg, WV – 30 May 2014

The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited to stand in silent Honor and Respect for Howard A. Linger, Cold War Era Veteran of the West Virginia National Guard, who went to be with the Lord on Sunday, 25 May 14.

 

Howard’s final services will be held on Friday, 30 May, beginning at 1500 at Leavitt’s Funeral Home, 403 7th St.,  Parkersburg, WV (http://www.leavittfuneralhome.com/_mgxroot/page_10749.php#MapParkersburg).

 

Escort and interment will be at the Skidmore Cemetery located approximately 11 miles out U.S. Route 50E (http://www.interment.net/data/us/wv/wood/skidmore/index.htm). Cemetery is somewhat hilly with gravel roads. Going completely in to the gravesite will be decided at the mission brief due to the weather forecast for this area the next few days.

  The Patriot Guard Riders have received a very short notice request for our services on Tuesday, 20 May 2014. David K. May was a United States Air Force veteran, and his son Russell has requested we stand in honor of his father, and provide escort to the cemetery upon completion of the funeral service. If your bike/cage is set up to safely fly flags in a procession, please come prepared to do so.

 

Staging time: 1230, flag line in place by 1300. If you can’t make it at the beginning of the mission, just come whenever you can. All riders/groups are welcome to join with us.

The Family of Willard E. “Duke” Salisbury, U.S. Army has requested the Patriot Guard Riders to escort and stand in honor of their loved one.

Escort will begin in Waynesboro, Pa on May 24th at 0600 with interment Services planned for 1400 24 May 2014 in Green Hill Cemetery, Falls Mill, Braxton County ,West Virginia at 1400

Willard E. “Duke” Salisbury, passed away near Gettysburg, PA on 26 NOV 13 after a short battle with Cancer. He grew up and lived most of his life in WV. He served in the US Army from 3 Jan 49 until 25 May 50.

Duke’s son Larry is a member of the NC and Va Patriot Guard Riders.

CONFIRMED – SW3 Harry J. Ciccarelli, III, USN OEF Veteran – Weirton, WV/Florence, PA – 17 May 14

The Patriot Guard Riders have been requested to stand in silent Honor and Respect for SW3 Harry John Ciccarelli, III, USN OEF Veteran. Harry was called to Heaven’s Gates on 10 May 14.

Harry joined the United States Navy in May 2005, where he served two duties in Afghanistan, the second tour with the Special Forces. He was Honorably Discharged after five years of service.

Services will be held on Saturday, 17 May, at the St Paul Roman Catholic Church in Weirton, WV at 1000.

The PGR will escort Harry as he is moved from the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main St., Weirton, WV (http://tinyurl.com/kgh9j5c), departing at 0930.

After the services, we will escort Harry to his Mass of Christian burial in Chestnut Ridge Cemetery, Florence, PA.
