This is a confirmed mission for the Patriot Guard to honor Sgt John L. Jackson, USMC, Veteran, Korea, who passed away January 23, 2012.  It is a go, all contacts have been made. 
Services and interment will be held at The Little Church, Fort Lincoln Cemetery, Brentwood, MD, Saturday, February 4th, 2012.
Sgt Jackson served with the 2nd Battalion 7th Marines, First Marine Division during the Korean War.  He was the recipient of the Purple Heart Medal, Korean Service Medal, UN Service Medal, and National Defense Ribbon.  After his honorable discharge from the U.S. Marine Corps, he served in law enforcement in different capacities; as a Corporal in the Kanawha County, West Virginia, Sheriff’s Department; a corrections officer for the State of West Virginia; and as a police officer for the General Services Administration.
He was an expert gunsmith, avid hunter and fisherman, a skilled carpenter, fabricator and mechanic, but most important of all, he was a proud veteran and biker and enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson.
He is survived by his two sons, his three grandchildren, and his beloved dog.

Military mandated riding gear IS NOT required.  Please bring 3 x 5 hand-held flags for a flag line at the cemetery.  If you have flag(s) mounted on your bike, make sure your mount has been tested prior to arrival at the funeral home.  All mounts will be inspected prior to departure.

The forecast for Saturday, February 4th is partly sunny with a low of 34 degrees and a high of 48 degrees.  Monitor the weather closely prior to your departure and dress appropriately.  You may cage to this mission.
