Maj (Ret) Byron Wallace White, US Army Vietnam Veteran of two combat tours, from Williamson, WV, passed away last year and is interred in the Alabama Nat’l Cemetery. He began his career in the enlisted ranks then went to OCS. He was also past Commander of the Alabama American Legion. His wife, Margaret, has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to stand up a flag line on 14 July, when his family will be placing a monument at the White family cemetery near Delbarton, WV. The cemetery is located on Elk Creek Road, and we will be meeting a family member that morning who will lead us to it. Military honors will be rendered as part of the ceremony, and after the ceremony, the family is requesting we join them for a Memorial Luncheon at the Thorobred Steakhouse in Williamson. Please bring a 3×5 flag to use as we honor this Vietnam Veteran and his family. Staging time: 0830-0900, with KSU at 0900…come earlier if you want to eat breakfast, or get a cup of coffee.
