The Patriot Guard has once again been asked to participate in the annual Boatsie’s Boxes Fund Raising/Ceremony held at Cabela’s in the Highlands at Dallas Pike, WV.

This annual event is held to raise money to send “care” packages to our troops overseas worldwide. The ceremony is part of the event where all veterans and those currently serving are honored and recognized. It is also attended by guest veterans and several dignitaries from across the state.

There will also be military vehicles of various types on display, as well as a Blackhawk helicopter.

The Patriot Guard has been asked to stand a flag line encircling the honorable veterans that will be present during the recognition ceremony.

Staging for this honorable and worthwhile event will be at 12:00 noon on June 30, 2012 at:

Cherokee Gift and Boot Shop
89 Cherokee Place
Triadlephia, WV 26059

After a short ride briefing at 12:30, we will be escorted by the Ohio County Sheriff’s office to Cabela’s where the ceremony of recognition will begin.

All participants are asked to bring a 3 X 5 flag to display while we encircle these honorable veterans.

Assistance is also needed and requested to help man our information table, handing out flyers and answering questions about the PGR.

As always, others are welcome to join us and are encouraged, so bring some one with you. “The more, the merrier!”.

Also, watch the weather, and dress accordingly.
